Hiya. What a beautiful Monday it is. So let’s cut to the chase so I can get back to enjoying this fabulous day.

At the beginning of the week, Ben, our mentor and Momentum World Youth Development Manager, paid us a visit to do some evaluation for our time here and we had a fun two days with him here in Keswick. On Tuesday, Ben and Trevor had to do some work so Max and I could finish earlier so we decided we’d take advantage of the beautiful weather and go for a swim at the lake, where we later also met some friends.

The weather was amazing all week so we went swimming again on Tuesday with friends at Bassenthwaite Lake and tea after.

On Friday evening, after going out with some friends, we went to get our friend, who is visiting from home, from the station in Penrith. It was late by then so after catching up for a little while, we went to bed, as Saturday was going to be a long day.

The weather wasn’t very good so we kept showing our friend around in Keswick to a minimum. That evening we went to one of our friend’s leaving do at someone’s house. We all had a good time and loads of fun. It’s bittersweet to be at a leaving party but it’s all about enjoying the time we’ve got now.

Although we were all still feeling the party in our bones and heads the next day, Max and Lasse, our friend from Germany, decided to walk up Skiddaw, one of the highest hills in England, I wasn’t keen so I met up with friends and spent the day with them. In the evening the three of us caught up about our day and then called it a night.

I’m very much looking forward to the rest of our time here with the weather being wonderful and our friends around, we’ll enjoy the remainder of our time here loads.
