The Anguilla National Youth Council (ANYC) has been established as the national body to protect the interests of all youth, youth groups, and affiliated organisations; and to advance and promote the general welfare and social progress of not only the youth but also the people of Anguilla. In other words, the ANYC is the umbrella organisation in Anguilla responsible for youth development nationally.

As such the ANYC engages in several activities throughout the year. These can be seen through open mic discussions on issues relating to youth development. These may be on topics concerning education, culture, sports, or entrepreneurship. Activities may also include radio programs, social media campaigns, or meetings in villages or social areas that may allow us to reach out to unattached youth.

The ANYC also is responsible for representing youth on the international scene, travelling to meetings and conferences held by the UN, Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, WHO, ILO, CARICOM, UNICEF, and many other international and regional agencies. The ANYC also partners with national government agencies in creating and amending national policies like the National Youth Policy. Our international work also can be seen with us being the premier organisation locally carrying out Erasmus Plus programs all throughout Europe and European islands of the Caribbean.

The ANYC also does a lot of work on sustainable living, hosting political debates on the sustainable development goals, tree planting activities as well as garbage clean ups throughout the island.

The ANYC is excited to be a part of EuroPeers and looks forward to creating new links and partners. You can follow ANYC on Facebook @AnguillaNYC or Instagram @axa_nyc. You can email ANYC at axayouthcouncil@gmail.com.
