EuroPeers UK is a network of young people who share their Erasmus+ experiences with other young people. A delegation of 10 EuroPeers plus the coordinator travelled to Strasbourg for the European Youth Event (EYE). The EYE is a biannual event that enables 8000 young Europeans to spend two days at the European Parliament and take part in hundreds of different activities.
The main activity of the EuroPeers team was to hold a workshop about the future of Erasmus+ after Brexit. We got insights into what the participants from different countries value about Erasmus+ and we collected ideas about how they would like the programme to continue after 2020.
The EuroPeers UK members also did a street action with the German EuroPeers to inform other people about Erasmus+ opportunities like the European Voluntary Service.
This event was a fantastic opportunity for the EuroPeers network to connect with other young Europeans and share our experiences of travelling, volunteering and studying abroad. We are looking forward to more exciting activities this year.
Anyone from the UK who is aged 18-25 and has experience with Erasmus+ projects can join the network. The next EuroPeers training course takes place from 24th to 27th June near London.
